Welcome To Our Awesome Comedy Show!

Welcome to the official NDTV comedy, late night talk show blog! Well, it's not really official. It's more like Elise and Oscar's version of what goes down in the studio and beyond. Currently, our show is called The Mike Peterson Show, but once Mike Peterson graduates (Spring 2007) the name will be changed to The ND Comedy Show. Elise is the next host, but is studying abroad in Rome in the fall. We currently do not know who the host for the fall semester will be, but we're working on it.
In case you've never heard of this show before, its like a cross between Conan O'Brien and SNL. The host introduces previously taped clips and also interviews guests and introduces musical guests. The show tapes live on Fridays in our studio at Washington Hall, so if you want to be an audience member, stop by Wash Hall at 5:00 on Friday.
The staff includes
Producer: Oscar Garcia
Head Writer: Elise Yahner
Host: Mike Peterson
Writers: Michaela Gorman
Melissa Cruz
Tesia Zientek
John Minser
Joe Kwaczala
Steve Fabian
Mike Mikuska
Mike Bradley
Zhibin Dai

If you would like to be a part of the writing staff or techinical staff, comment on this blog. Working for NDTV is buckets of fun, so you should do it.
That reminds me, this blog is called buckets because buckets is a funny word. Buckets is funny in any way that you use it, except in the way that its actually meant to be used. Just try it, for buckets sake!

The next new episode of The Mike Peterson Show airs on Tuesday, March 6 at 11:00 pm on channel 53. The show airs every night at 11:00 on channel 53 for on-campus Notre Dame students, so check it out.

The MPS crew is getting together a Bookstore Basketball team. Someone will have to wear the NDTV man costume (for those of you who don't know, this consists of last year's NDTV shirt, Michaela's blue sweatpants, and a giant cardboard box over your head to look like a TV). Someone will also have to dress as monster hooker. Other costume ideas that pertain to the show are welcome.

Last Saturday night, Mike Peterson had an emo party at his apartment. A bunch of the writers attended and a fun, I mean whatever, alright I guess, time was had by all. Some of the most memorable moments include Mike insisting that Elise is a man eater (complete with "chomping" sounds), the writing staff sitting on the futon and never leaving, just to be more emo; taking myspace pictures in the bathroom mirror; that guy who passed out next to us on the futon; Mike singing everything and literally bouncing off the walls when that song came on. Yep, it was good. Most of us couldn't see much of it, though, because our hair was in our faces.

That's it for this post. Sorry, this isn't too entertaining, but it was an intro, so what did you expect? Buckets.
